An encounter with Hans Bischoffshausen

On Friday the 4D class and the Art teachers STR/POT visited the Stadtgalerie to look at an exhibition of the painter Hans Bischoffshausen and his art works which date back to mid 20th century. We were told about his life as a man who was not easy to deal with and hadn´t finished school, someone who taught himself how to paint and went to Paris to make his dreams come true. This decision resulted in his experimenting with art and expressing his feelings by it. Throughout his career the artwork continued to gain its distinctive style and philosophical depth.

After this excursion into art history, we also attended a workshop and experimented with putty and acrylic colours which was an interesting experience.
